Panelist Bios:
Dr. Rich Wolski is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Eucalyptus Systems Inc., and a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Having received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Davis (while a researcher at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory) he has also held positions at the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Tennessee.
Vineet Tyagi is Head of Impetus Labs at Impetus Technologies, an award-winning software product engineering company, serving customers ranging from aggressive startups to large technology companies, to develop innovative software products.
Bill Zack is an Architect Evangelist with Microsoft. He comes to this role after serving as a Solutions Architect in the Financial Services Unit of Microsoft Consulting Services. His experience includes developing, supporting and evangelizing .NET/SOA based frameworks used to jump-start development projects for financial services companies. Prior to joining Microsoft he acted as a Consultant, Architect, Administrator, Developer, and System Integrator. He has also authored several computer books and white papers.
Scott Chasin is CTO McAfee Content & Cloud. He is widely recognized as a pioneer and leading visionary in the cloud security industry, having pioneered the development and marketing of several SaaS-based messaging, collaboration and security-focused technologies. He is credited with the launch of the first Web-based email consumer service, and delivered the first IP-based commercially hosted messaging service supporting thousands of businesses and millions of end users worldwide.
Mark Hinkle is the Vice President of Community at Cloud.com. the maker of the open source cloud computing management software, CloudStack. He also is along-time open source expert and advocate. He is a co-founder of both the Open Source Management Consortium and the Desktop Linux Consortium. Hinkle is also the author of the book, "Windows to Linux Business Desktop Migration" (Thomson, 2006).
