Curve Dental Donates Management Software to Open Door Clinic to Aid Uninsured in Vermont

Orem, UT, March 17, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Curve Dental, the leading developer of cloud-based dental software, completed its donation of software and services to Vermont-based Open Door Clinic, a non-profit medical organization that provides access to quality healthcare services, free of charge, to the uninsured or under-insured.

Open Door Clinic is one of only ten clinics in the state that offer healthcare, free of charge, to those who meet financial eligibility guidelines. Services are provided in a compassionate, respectful and culturally sensitive manner until a permanent healthcare provider can be established. In 2015 the Open Door Clinic treated 768 individuals that amounted to 1.094 medical visits and a savings or more than $400,000 in medical bills. While the clinic is funded in large part by the State of Vermont, more than 20% of its operation costs are derived from private donations. In 2016, thanks to the support of two grants, the clinic launched an innovative dental program, allowing the clinic to expand its care to include preventive and restorative dental care.
