Orlando, FL, June 4, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Curve Nation hosts the second annual Curve Nation Expo, a weekend of plus empowerment featuring plus celebrities and industry insiders, July 24th – 26th , 2015, at Reunion Resort located at 7593 Gathering Drive, Kissimmee, FL  34747.

The plus industry has garnered tremendous attention over the last year as Sports Illustrated featured its first plus size model, Robyn Lawley, and an ad by Swimsuits for All featuring the plus supermodel, Ashley Graham.  With the return of Full Figured Fashion Week, now in its 7th year, and the buzz surrounding the agency signing of plus megastar, Tess Munster, recently featured on the cover of People Magazine, plus is becoming mainstream.  Curve Nation, headquartered in Orlando, FL, was created by CEO, Devine Dolson, in memory of his mother, a plus fashionista, to support and respond to the needs of the plus size industry in the South.  Curve Nation continues to provide opportunities for growth, education, and networking, and raises the standard for events that empower women in the Southern United States.   Dolson shares that the organization is a labor of love and that he is motivated by “the men and women who contact me each day through social media sharing their stories and thanking me for providing a positive voice for the plus industry.  They inspire me to move forward, and Expo is huge weekend that provides great times and new opportunities for all who attend.”

The Curve Nation Expo, now in its second year, is open to the public and is a supersized weekend that includes:  workshops, the midnight pool party, shopping, a fashion show, Curve Nation's "Curves in Paradise" party, and more.  Men are welcome and will have special activities that cater to gentlemen only.  Attendees will have a chance to meet and greet plus celebrities and tastemakers that include: Rosie Mercado, International Plus Size Model, Miss Nevada Plus America 2009, the face of Full Figured Fashion Week 2010, and star of Curvy Girls on NUVOtv, plus supermodel, Christina Mendez, CEO and Founder of Full Figured Fashion Week in NY, Gwen DeVoe, and others.  POSE Magazine, the plus lifestyle magazine is sponsoring the event and will be onsite providing live social media coverage throughout the weekend.

Essie Golden, plus model, Orlando native, fashion blogger, and body-positive advocate, featured in Essence Magazine, Fashion Bomb Daily, and Refinery 29, along with Sabrina, will be presenting a styling workshop sponsored by Ashley Stewart titled “How do I Look: Style 101.”  Attendees will receive assistance with styling for their body type and take home accessories and clothing provided by Ashley Stewart.
