One of the main differences is price, so it should not be to surprising to know that faux leather bed sales are on the rise. With prices of real leather always getting higher a basic genuine leather bed will cost between £400 and £500, whilst a faux leather bed averages only £150. Mr Ritchie said "It's not surprising to see cost win over quality in the current financial crisis, but the figures are astounding, with genuine leather bed sales down 35%, however the huge increase in faux leather bed sales makes up for it, we've seen an 80% rise in sales, which is almost unheard of" .
