CV-Library: The Six Million Strong Database
Online, April 17, 2013 (Newswire.com) - In fewer than eight months online job board, CV-Library, has exceeded all expectations and grown their database by another one million CVs.
Their database now stands at six million CVs and shows no signs of slowing down with over 201,000 unique CV registrations being recorded in January, and at least 150,000 every month since. This news follows 18 months of achievements including a recent offline marketing campaign leading to increased brand awareness and recognition from several prestigious industry awards.
Lee Biggins, Managing Director of CV-Library: "The size and growth of our CV database clearly demonstrates that job boards are still the number one way to find jobs within the UK. Year on year we're seeing a huge increase of activity on CV-Library.co.uk with more CV registrations, job searching and more recruiters than ever accessing our database and using it as a primary source for their recruitment campaigns.
"One of the most frustrating things we find about holding a large database is that recruiters often won't search back further than three months. Yet, they will spend hours on social media sites contacting passive candidates just because their social profile is frequently used. It's important to remember that a candidate who uploaded their CV six or even 12 months ago can still be a very active job seeker waiting for the right opportunity."
The job board is also celebrating increased application rates per job in all sectors, year on year. The statistics highlight the legal industry as having the most growth with an increase of 325%, closely followed by hospitality and catering, with increases of 220% and 208% respectively. On particularly busy days a job application is being made every 1.1 seconds, demonstrating how active CV-Library's users are.
CV-Library is committed to keeping their database as fresh and current as possible. Registered candidates are regularly contacted and encouraged to update their CV and contact details, and recruiters can request a CV update from a candidate if they think it was registered a while ago.
