Czech Representative Marta Volfelova won the Velke Levare Marbles Championship
The best players of the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic came to the Velke Levare city to compete in the international marbles tournament.
Online, May 8, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The first international marbles tournament of the year 2010 took place in Velke Levare, Slovak Republic. The tournament called Velke Levare Marbles Championship was attended by selected representatives of the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic.
The best players of both countries competed using the round robin system. The spectators had the chance to see very dramatic matches when the best players had very similar score. The matches was played on best of 5 games and many matches finished by the score of 3:2.
The best form had Czech player Marta Volfelova. She had no problems to win all matches except one and she achieved the best number of won matches. The same number of games won the second player of the day Jozef Sarkozy. He had also the same score like Marta Volfelova, but since the mutual match won Marta Volfelova, she was the winner of the tournament and Jozef Sarkozy from the Slovak Republic was on the second place. The third player was Petr Sejba from the Czech marbles team.
The next international marbles tournament will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, in July 2010, 24th. This tournament will be played as the world marbles championship and people from any country in the world are welcome to come and compete in this event.
