DachshundDoggy IT Streamlines Client FTP Access
DachshundDoggy IT Social Media & Technology Services announced it is converting its client access FTP protocols.
Online, March 15, 2011 (Newswire.com) - DachshundDoggy IT Social Media & Technology Services announced it is converting its client access FTP protocols from the built-in Windows Internet Explorer system to the FileZilla FTP client. The decision to move all clients over to FileZilla was part of the company's decision to standardize the methods in which the company's clients are able to access their files stored on the server. The new software will provide increased security, reduced costs and greater productivity to clients.
By converting the FTP protocols to the new system, DachshundDoggy IT Social Media & Technology Services is providing greater flexibility and productivity to both existing and new clients. In addition to overall improvements in performance and connection procedures, FileZilla FTP Client also supports saving sites and "Quick Connection" profiles so users will not have to login to the server everytime they want to access files. Furthermore, switching to FileZilla will allow for greater cross-platform support for users running Mac OS X or Linux. The previous system does not allow for such differences in operating systems and led to frequent support calls or emails.
