Dakota Dental Awarded 2011 Preferred Provider Status

Online, March 5, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Shelley Wakefield, the president and one of the practicing dentists at Dakota Dental Apple Valley Family Dentistry, was awarded "2011 Preferred Provider" status by Invisalign for clinical proficiency and for exceeding continuing educational requirements. This is the third year in a row that Dakota Dental has achieved this Preferred Provider status.

With an emphasis on excellence in dentistry, Dr. Wakefield has exemplified her commitment to education by earning more than double the required continuing education credits for the Invisalign provider certification. Dr. Wakefield is also one of fewer than 300 dentists worldwide to graduate from the Post-Doctorate Course in Contemporary and Esthetic Dentistry. This Post Doctorate course required 200 hours of didactic and hands-on training in esthetic or cosmetic dentistry. The goal of this course is to gain the ability to treat complex restorative cases with a variety of advanced esthetic techniques.
