Danish Children- And Youth Theater Big On Export
From 2nd to 5th of may the Danish theater showcase Danish+ takes place for the second time in Aarhus, Denmark. Danish children- and Youth Theater is presented for 60 buyers from all over the world - e.g. UK, Canada, Poland, China and Congo.
Online, April 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - In short DANISH+ is a showcase aimed at buyers of theater performances from all over the world. This year 14 of the best Danish performances are presented at the showcase.
Bodil Alling, founder of DANISH+ and Theater Gruppe 38 says: "We are proud that DANISH+ can attract guests form countries as far away as China and Congo and all the other countries presented. DANISH+ now takes place for the second time, and already has a good reputation. We hope that this showcase will continue to be a success in the coming years, since we plan to have a showcase every second year."
Between 1999 and 2007 more than 45 Danish Children- and Youth Theaters have toured in more than 45 countries, showing more than 2.400 performances. Between 2008 and 2009 this number has increased rapidly. In just one year 26 members of the Danish part of the world-wide theater association 'ASSITEJ', have been on tour 70 times with 49 different productions. This is more than 371 performances all around the globe in just one year!
