Daughter Creates New Business Concept To Solve Her Mother's Problems.

Shelly and Monica Van Cleve, the dynamic mother-daughter duo from the restaurant industry in Virginia, launch the Premiere Edition of their new business and publication Let's Eat Out Menus in the San Antonio area.

May 13, 2010 - If necessity is the mother of invention, then this 24- year- old daughter ran with it ... all the way to the banks, hotels and homes!
The "invention" of the Let's Eat Out Menus™ book came in 2008 from the "necessity" to find a way not only to get the menus from Shelly's restaurant into the hands of the visitor, office worker and resident, but to ensure that they would be KEPT, not thrown away or buried in a drawer. Daughter Monica, who grew up in the family restaurant business and is an avid traveler and eater, was graduating from Clemson University with her bachelor's degree in Chinese and International Trade when she wrote the business model. Monica took the frustrations she faced as a consumer looking for places to eat as a hotel guest, resident or at the office, and the obstacles her mom Shelly faced as a restaurateur trying to reach the hotel guest, resident and office worker, and created a product that solved them all. The collaboration of the mother-daughter team resulted in their business publishing the one-of-a-kind, problem-solving product that consumers not only want, but keep.
The full-page, graphically designed collection of color menus from local restaurants is published with a patented (pending) magnetic feature that allows the high-quality book to be placed on the refrigerator or file cabinet, in -sight 24/7/365, but out -of -the -way. The publication does not allow advertisements or coupons, making it the only ad-free publication in the nation. Let's Eat Out Menus™ is distributed in more than 40 hotels surrounding the restaurants as well as in large offices, universities, homes, and gated apartments and condominiums.
Monica coined the word "menutising," which she describes as communicating a message by means of a restaurant menu. It is persuasive, informative, and designed to entice through descriptions and photos. "Our full-page, magazine-sized, magnetized book that contains only colorful, glossy menus and restaurant information is a 'menutisment'," she explains, "and it's what my new company is all about."
With its first territory successfully covered, the duo has launched upon a second territory in San Antonio and expanded into Austin, Virginia, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. For more information please contact 866-846-3623 or email [email protected]
