DC: Ward 8 Republican Larry T. Pretlow II (21) strikes back with Community Non-profit Organization

Online, September 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Larry T. Pretlow II launches development of all-new community
effort within his capacity of being a committed Youth Advocate. The former NYRA-DC President is
developing an organization dedicated to Ward 8 Youth, Our Project Mutual Ground: A Safer Harbor for DC
Youth.

This nonprofit proposes and advocates - with the support of youth and adults -legislation and policy that not
only puts our youth and young adults in a safer and productive position, but it helps build a better
community for their families, friends and fellow neighbors.

Pretlow and others will utilize the organization to introduce and support measures to prevent youth crime,
stop truancy, stop youth violence, initialize youth and young adult workforce development services, etc.

Progressive Curfew has been a big priority for Mr. Pretlow; his strong support for a Ward 8 catered
Curfew policy led to his departure from his post at NYRA-DC. In October an official proposal to the D.C.
Council regarding Progressive Curfew will be submitted for review.

Pretlow (the Executive Director) is currently looking for youth and adult volunteers to serve on the first
appointed Executive Board. There's also a search for local bands and recording artists who could possibly
be selected to perform their own unique versions of the organizations theme song, written by Mr. Pretlow's
better Gemini half, the infamous "LaPret". Pretlow is an ASCAP Songwriter and South Capitol Recordings
Artist, both he and his group Keen Starz will also record their version(s).
