Dealers Pack Joe Verde Group Workshops At RV Convention

The Joe Verde Group's two workshops were well-attended by RV dealers at the 2010 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas.

Optimism about the future of RV sales was in evidence at the recent 2010 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas as RV dealers turned out in large numbers to attend two Joe Verde Group sales workshops.

Joe Verde trainer Sean Gardner held two workshops during the five-day event, the first titled "Closing The Sale," and the second, "How To Generate Endless Floor Traffic." Mr. Gardner said he spoke with dozens of dealers during the week-long convention, and that as a group, they showed a renewed interest in developing more professionals in sales to pull them back to a full recovery.

Ed Lerch of Lerch RV in Milroy, Pennsylvania, said the "Closing The Sale" workshop really struck a chord with him: "It showed you that you have to close on something other than price." He added that Mr. Gardner taught him "very useful 'how-to's' for my dealership."

The closing workshop also received rave reviews from Brian Yarnell of RV General Store in Norman, Oklahoma, who said, "One of the best workshops I have ever been to." He also noted that the workshop made him realize: "I need to get my salespeople better prepared and develop them to overcome price (objections) better."

The highlights of Mr. Gardner's "Closing The Sale" workshop included overcoming customer price objections and knowing exactly when to close, and what to say. In his second workshop, "How to Generate Endless Floor Traffic - Today!" dealers received step-by-step instruction on everything from effective lead management, to implementing a new game plan for recovery and growth to recession-proof their dealership.

The 2010 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo was held Oct. 4-8. at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
