Debut Novelist, J.C. Martin, Signs With J. Taylor Publishing For Release of Oracle In August 2012
Online, December 4, 2011 (Newswire.com) - J.C. Martin has signed a publishing contract with J. Taylor Publishing for her debut novel Oracle. The crime thriller, set in London, United Kingdom, at the start of the Olympic games, finds Kurt Lancer in a race to prevent yet another murder, all linked to the Greek God, Zeus.
While her character fights a serial killer, J.C. Martin herself is a butt-kicking bookworm. When she isn't reading or writing, she teaches martial arts and self-defense to adults and children. After working in pharmaceutical research, then in education as a schoolteacher, she decided to put her two favorite activities to good use.
The publication of Oracle marks J.C.'s transition to novels; her short stories have won various prizes and have been published in several anthologies. Oracle, written for the adult thriller, suspense and crime novel reader, mixes J.C.'s Wing Chun kung fu knowledge with her overwhelming need to write dark mysteries and gripping thrillers with a psychological slant.
"J.C.'s story takes us inside the mind of the killer and the law enforcement personnel who track him down. She mixes action and adventure with fears which could easily grip a nation on the brink of what should be an exciting time in history," says J. Taylor Publishing. "From word one, J.C.'s novel grabbed our attention and kept us hooked and engaged. It's the perfect first novel to start our exclusively non-romance line of publications. We look forward to adding this engaging thriller to our catalog and to see more of Kurt Lancer in the future."
Oracle will release in paperback and ebook simultaneously and will be available through bookstores and online print and ebook retailers on or about August 1, 2012.
Born and raised in Malaysia, J.C. now lives in south London with her husband and three dogs. For more information about the author, please visit her website: http://jc-martin.com
