DecaturDocs Presents Worst In Show

Online, November 11, 2011 (Newswire.com) - DecaturDocs, in partnership with The Laughing Skull Lounge, on Saturday November 19 at 5 pm to present WORST IN SHOW a hilarious look into the world of ugly dog pageants. Chronicling the contestants for the 2010 'World's Ugliest Dog' title in Petaluma, CA this surprisingly touching film showcases a bevy of lovable rescue dogs taking viewers into the lives of those obsessed with their dogs, from Pabst, a bulldog with a massive under bite, to his greatest rival Icky, a rescued Chinese crested (or Peruvian hairless) that looks like a punk-rocker, down to his studded collar.

A hit on the film festival circuit, where it has been compared favorably to the mock-documentary film BEST IN SHOW, this real life account of homely hounds features a cast that is too good to be true. Nothing But the Doc's Christopher Campbell writes, "Christopher Guest could not make up characters better than what you find here."

The feature will be preceded by the animated short POUND DOGS, as Mike Silva follows the minimalist adventures of two dogs locked up at the local pound, desperately awaiting adoption.
