Dedge Products Offers Culinary Tips to Keep Users Healthy

Site gives advice on creating healthy dishes that are still delicious

A new site, Dedge Products, is designed to give users advice about healthy eating that doesn’t seem like a deprivation.

Among the goals of the site is to have regular posts about ways to cook food that’s as healthy as it is delicious.

"Eating healthy doesn't have to mean eating food you don't love. We've spent a long time collecting important information about food and cooking, and we wanted to share that with a wider audience."

Mary and Walter Dedge, Owners

“So many people think that a well-balanced diet means nothing but steamed vegetables and brown rice,” owners Mary and Walter Dedge said. “But the good news is that there is a way to eat what you want while maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and all it takes is a commitment to staying informed and up to date on the latest news, tips, and offers that are available online. We want our site to make it easier for people to do just that.”

One recent post highlights the benefits of using herbs when cooking. It recommends combinations of herbs to use when cooking various different dishes, and suggests thinking about herbs from the start of a dish, and not just for a garnish.

“Herbs are often used to provide a final touch, that stylish garnish to help a dish come alive on the table,” the site said. “However, many people might not know of the health benefits that can also accrue through using herbs in your cooking. There are suggestions that can work to protect the heart, and help prevent diseases such as diabetes or even cancer.”

Another post gives alternatives to cooking with vegetable oil, which is not as healthy as once assumed.

“A study by an Oxford University professor found that the fatty acids in vegetable oils might be causing mental health and neurological issues, because an increased Omega 6 intake pushes out vital Omega 3,” the site said. “According to the scientists, coconut oil, butter and even lard are all preferable options to vegetable oils.”
