Online, July 25, 2010 (Newswire.com) - South Salem, NY -- Teich Garden Systems LLC announced today the completion of a new garden system at Crompond Elementary School in Yorktown Heights, New York. The garden project was spearheaded by Crompond teachers who previously taught at Brookside Elementary school. The teachers had enjoyed their experience with their Teich Garden at Brookside so much that they were able to move the Crompond garden project forward on a fast-track basis. While the new garden may be a bit of "deja vu" for the teachers, it will be a wonderful new experience for the students at Crompond.
Cari Byrnes, the teacher at Crompond who led the garden effort said "We had such success with our garden at Brookside. The educational experiences are endless so we were very motivated to get one for Crompond. Working with the Teich staff made getting this garden such a pleasurable experience. I also want to thank our parents for seeing the benefits of the garden for our students and their efforts in raising the funds to make this possible."
Mark Teich, founder of TGS, noted, "We are thrilled that Crompond students will be able to experience one of our gardens. It is gratifying that the teachers felt so strongly about the garden and the value that it brings to their program."
