Delra Harris Releases CD

Online, September 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Atlanta based Urban Gospel recording artist, Delra Harris is poised to take the gospel music community by storm with his brand new CD release, "Keep the Faith". The CD which is consists of 10 anointed tracks, has already garnered awards for the title track and the music video.

Delra who has been singing since the age of 5, is now a living testimony that dreams do come true. He realized that music was one of his calling among what God had in store for him. It began after attending revivals at his church, and during those revivals, it has always been perceived that it was a time of cleansing; a time of repentance, if you will. He would spend hours simply worshiping and praising GOD in the highest. Part of such praise included lengthy prayer -- and during those prayers, that was the time to relinquish all that you have been holding on to.

While others were speaking in tongues, crying and appearing to truly be in touch with GOD, he was feeling pretty much dormant. Initially he began to think that there was something wrong with him or that he wasn't righteous enough to feel GOD's spirit which again, puzzled him because he had a personal relationship with GOD and felt his presence daily in his life at any given moment. "But why not now Lord? Why can't I feel your presence during the revival, during a time that I am "suppose" to feel your presence? Delra would ask. After much prayer and questing, there was one particular night at revival that instead of spending an hour on his knees pretending to or trying to pray, he simply said a brief prayer, pulled himself up and began to sing along with the musicians, clap his hands and stomp his feet. "It was then that every expression that I wanted to get to GOD came. Every feeling that I had wanted to get from praying was now being awakened through singing. It was then that I realized the power of musical ministry!" and so today, Delra is very confident and comfortable with the communication that he feels with GOD through his musical ministry and how amazing it feels to just sing a song of praise to him. Everything Delra wants to pray about is communicated through song, but don't get him wrong ...he still prays.

Delra has always been a Christian and in fact, he was born into the word. He was in church before he even knew the meaning of the word. His amazing mother saw to that and kept in the Lord. She's also his biggest influence because she has taught him inestimable lessons of FAITH; WORKS; FAVOR and CHARACTER. She taught him at a very early age to stay rooted and grounded in the things that he was passionate about and not to compromise his integrity for any amount of fame. Because of that foundation combined with continuous prayer and faith, GOD has enabled him to remain meek and humble regardless of the accolades offered or given to him by others.

He has two previous albums which are now only available online however this is the first album that he has promoted on a major level. "This project, Keep the Faith is very different for me because through the trials that I have been blessed to get through since the previous albums, He's been able to express an even stronger faith and testimony through his music ministry. He travels extensively spreading hope into the lives of others and is constantly obeying the spirit of GOD. "When HE tells me to do it, I do it. It is done without question or regard to the practicality of what it may mean for me because, obedience is much greater than the sacrifice. So I give back daily by being obedient to his word." He volunteers at nursing homes; clothed the homeless; I donate his time to a variety of different organizations on a weekly basis. He helps those that are in need of assistance.
Being able to simply travel the world and minister my music and bless so many hearts without any monetary gain of my own.

In the next 3-5 years, Delra sees himself doing exactly what he's doing now by remaining faithful, working hard and being obedient to HIS word. By doing so, there is no telling what plateau GOD will place him on in the next few years. But he does know that it will be a very good one!
