Denver Business Women Networking Groups Gather Panties for Charity

Ladies networking event to benefit Denver Women's Shelters by wearing pink and collecting panties.

Women are unstoppable when they put their minds to something, or so seems to be the case for a handful of business women who have joined forces for a common mission to help their less fortunate sisters. On Monday February 13, 2012more than 21 networking organizations and over 30 sponsors will come together under one roof to raise awareness and collect new pairs of panties for Denver based women's shelters.

The Pink & Panties event will be held at Denver's Oriental Theater at 4335 W. 44th Ave and will feature complimentary food, door prizes and entertainment. For the mere price of $10 cash plus a pair of brand new women's panties, hundreds of guests will enjoy casual networking and fun while shedding light on one of Denver's most desperate needs.

"All too often a woman finds herself on the doorstep of a shelter with nothing more than the clothes on her back," said one network organizer. "People often think to donate food or hygiene items and used clothing to the shelters, but they don't realize that these women have no access to things like washers & dryers and may have to wear the same clothing items for days on end without the means to clean them. When it comes to undergarments this is simply unacceptable and poses a serious health risk."

Last October a sister organization hosted the Mile High Panty Drive that collected close to a thousand pairs of new panties. "Our understanding is that the need is so great that all of the underwear was distributed in less than 24 hours and still fell short of getting at least one new pair in the hands of a sister in need."

Organizers Tina M. Kraft and Rachael Waggoner among others shared a strong desire for there to be a gigantic event that could bring all of the women's groups in Denver together for a couple of hours to work in tandem toward a common goal. Their belief was that they could get all of the traditionally competitive business groups to rally together and "play nice" to help other women. "We are unifying all of the women's groups and Divas in Colorado to raise awareness, funds and new/unworn panties for the women's shelters in Denver and surrounding areas. This event transcends individual groups and encourages everyone to come together and unite," is the mission statement on their website at http://www.pinkandpanties.com.

To show their allegiance and participate in the event, local business owners can purchase a bag sponsorship for $250 or a full booth for $750. Guests can purchase tickets online for $10 or directly from one of the networking organizations being represented at the event.
