Derivative Trading Systems (DTS) eagerly announced the instigation of its latest Web Services' design. The company states that it provides access to its Horizon database that risk managers, traders and quants are already exploiting for both strategic trading decisions and risk management applications.

The Web Services allowed it possible to access Horizon database through the utilization of the SOAP and REST functionality. It permits the incorporation of Horizon database into programs of Microsoft Office such as Excel by utilizing plain data queries, or incorporation of the company's collection of historical data into web pages or other third party applications.

Steve Bagley, the managing director of Derivative Trading Systems, explains "We have already perceived the growing interest in the Web Services' features that have been put in place and we anticipate the adaptation of this newly developed service to be a main part of our strategy in the future".

Users can recognize the length of the data and functionality that can be used through the supplied documentation in the web. DTS plans to include a user interface that can immediately supply end users with the entire options in a convenient to use interface. In addition, it is said to be configurable to exhibit other data options gathered from other data vendors.

DTS explains that its bespoke applications can reduce cost in data access since they are limited in certain trading areas and users only pay for the data they want to access.

Derivative Trading Systems created its Web Services with a comprehensive administration setup that can enable the infrastructure to contain the Web Services in a variety of ways. DTS aims to further increase users' convenience in accessing data.
