Design Engineers Worldwide Compete
Online, June 21, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The ninth "Create the Future" Design Contest (www.createthefuture2011.com) sponsored by Creo - a PTC product, COMSOL, and Tech Briefs Media Group will be accepting entries through June 30, 2011. The contest is an opportunity to receive global recognition and a cash prize of $20,000 for a breakthrough product idea.
New this year is an Electronics Design category sponsored by Digi-Key Corp. Additional entry categories include Consumer Products; Machinery & Equipment; Medical; Safety and Security; Sustainable Technologies; and Transportation. Entries can be submitted by individuals and/or teams in up to seven categories.
The top entry in each category will receive a workstation computer from Hewlett-Packard. The ten most popular entries, as voted on by Web site registrants, will get a 3D mouse from 3Dconnexion. All qualified entrants will be included in a drawing for NASA Tech Briefs T-shirts, and the winning entries will be featured in a special supplement to NASA Tech Briefs magazine. The Top 100 entries overall, as determined by industry judges, will receive a certificate of achievement suitable for framing.
Best of all, winning entries will benefit from global media coverage and exposure to industry leaders who could help bring the idea to market.
