Detroit Chevrolet Dealer Confirms That Chevy Will Sponsor Fox's The X FACTOR
Matthews Hargreaves Chevrolet is excited to confirm that Chevrolet will be sponsoring Fox's The X FACTOR. Chevrolet will be the shows exclusive on-air, off-air and online automotive supporter.
Online, June 24, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Matthews Hargreaves Chevrolet, a premier Detroit Chevy dealer, is excited to announce that Chevrolet will be sponsoring Fox's new show, The X FACTOR. The X FACTOR has already won many awards abroad by allowing viewers help decided who the next global superstar or music act will be. The X FACTOR was created by executive producer Simon Cowell, which will debut this fall on Fox.
Chevrolet's sponsorship includes automotive exclusivity in several episodes. This season the show will feature in-show integrations, season-long organic product placement, and an off-air marketing partnership with digital extensions and social media. Rick Scheidt, vice president of Chevrolet Marketing said, "When The X FACTOR launches in the U.S., it seems very natural that Chevrolet is riding shotgun. For the past 100 years, Chevrolet has been a cultural force in music, and we are proud to be partnering with FOX to support the next big thing for music fans and artists."
It appears that Fox feels the same way about partnering with Chevrolet. "FOX is thrilled to partner with Chevrolet, an iconic American brand that celebrates the everyday hero, in launching the most anticipated series of the fall, The X FACTOR. We look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts with Chevrolet, which has become a key marketing partner for the network," said Jean Rossi, president of FOX One and executive vice president of sales for Fox Broadcasting Co.
The judges for The X FACTOR will travel around the United States looking for talented people ages 12 and older. They will be judging both solo artists and vocal groups. The judges include Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Antonio "L.A." Reid, and Nicole Scherzinger. The initial audition will be different from other singing competitions by including an audience of thousands, making the initial audition more intense and testing to see if they have the charisma and stage presence to become the next big star. The winners will receive a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.
Chevrolet will incorporate their vehicles into the show and will most likely focus on Chevrolet instead of the larger corporation. Vehicles expected to be featured are the Motor Trend Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Volt and other popular models such as the Camaro and Malibu.
