Diagnostic Centers of America Designated an ACR Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE)
DCA is the first and only outpatient imaging facility in South Florida with the DICOE designation. DICOE represents the pinnacle of medical imaging care, an achievement that goes beyond ACR's gold standards, to recognize best-quality imaging practices and diagnostic care.
DELRAY BEACH, Fla., May 15, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Modern medical imaging technologies are progressing at a rapid pace across the globe, and Diagnostic Centers of America (DCA) is playing an ever-increasing role in the advancements in health care. Focused on excellence and committed to patient care, DCA is looking to the future. With new imaging techniques and advanced facilities, DCA provides more accurate imaging that results in less invasive procedures, lower patient cost, and improved outcomes. This commitment to cutting-edge technology, utilizing the latest software and artificial intelligence, also gives DCA’s sub-specialized radiologists, an advantage that allows for accurate diagnosis and reducing the need for exploratory surgery.
Recently, DCA was designated a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence™ (DICOE) by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The DICOE program, which represents the pinnacle of medical imaging care, is an achievement that goes beyond ACR’s gold standards, to recognize best-quality imaging practices and diagnostic care. This includes a comprehensive assessment by expert radiologists and medical physicists, of the entire medical imaging enterprise, including structure and outcomes. The DICOE designation recognizes excellence at multiple levels — including the professional staff, the technology and the policies and procedures the organization follows — and superior patient care. DCA is the first and only outpatient imaging facility in South Florida with the DICOE designation.
I am so proud of all of our team members — including janitorial, front desk, technologists, radiologists and our management team, for helping DCA earn the DICOE designation. We live each day by our core values, which guide DCA to being better than we were the day before… to be legendary.
Steven J. Shullman, CEO and President of Diagnostic Centers of America
To receive this elite distinction, facilities must be accredited by the ACR in all modalities they provide, and in which the ACR offers an accreditation program. Another requirement is to participate in the Dose Index Registry® and General Radiology Improvement Database, as well as Image Wisely® and Image Gently®.
