Digisonics OB/GYN and cardiovascular customers maximize clinical workflow options

Online, June 24, 2010 (Newswire.com) - HOUSTON (June 24, 2010) - Digisonics customer, Beaver Medical Group in Redlands, Calif., implemented HL7 interfaces for automated Results-Out processing to the facility's GE Centricity EMR. The HL7 application provides customer sites with a true electronic workflow to help meet the necessary "meaningful use" requirements by ensuring an error-free transmission of patient information from the Digisonics software to a previously specified EMR, HIS and/or RIS.

In Portland, Ore., Legacy Health System implemented Digisonics HL7 interfaces to transmit medical information for Orders-In with the site's Cerner Radnet RIS and added the DigiLink module for PDF Results-Out to Epic Radiant. In addition to utilizing standard HL7 communication protocols, the DigiLink application gives users web-based access to patient images and reports from Digisonics WebView software while clinicians are working in EMR/EHR, RIS, HIS and PACS.
