Digisonics wins enterprise deal with Northwest Texas Hospital

Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas chose to implement the Digisonics Enterprise Image Management and Reporting System.

HOUSTON (April 20, 2010) - The Digisonics Enterprise Image Management & Reporting System was ordered by Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas. The Digisonics system will provide the hospital with best-of-class digital imaging, professional reporting and configurable clinical database software solutions for Cardiology, OB/GYN and General Ultrasound. With this latest enterprise deal, Digisonics has positioned itself as the premier vendor for providing Structured Reporting and Image Management (SRIM) in the medical industry.

DigiView's Cath, Echo, Pediatric Echo and Vascular packages, as well as the enterprise-wide reporting for General Ultrasound were among the features the site found uniquely attractive. The site chose to implement DigiNet Pro for access to imaging, reporting and clinical database capabilities anywhere, at anytime via the Internet. The site will implement a similar system for the OB/GYN department, including a complete OB-View software system with imaging, professional reporting and a configurable clinical database for OB and GYN. OB-View Net will provide connectivity via the Internet for reviewing images, editing reports, performing fetal growth analysis, and more.

DataLink and OBLink modules will seamlessly transmit patient demographic information from the site's ultrasound systems to the DigiView and OB-View software systems. All medical information will be transmitted via HL7 interfaces for Order-In/Results-Out with the site's OPUS EMR. The Rolodex and Search software packages will allow users to auto-send finalized reports via e-mail, fax and print options to referring physicians, while the highly configurable Search package will enable clinicians and administrators to easily find specific patient and procedure data within the clinical database. Gateway Monitor software will continuously monitor and record network activities to ensure an efficient and streamlined workflow.
