Metasys Technologies Ltd and Digital-Photo Ltd have joined forces to create The Digital Asset Lab (TDAL), a company that will provide tailored digital asset management solutions.

The new company will support public and private sector clients looking to effectively coordinate and manage a comprehensive range of digital photographic images, artwork, PowerPoint presentations, video, audio files and business documents.
The joint venture brings together two companies with a track record that straddles the creative and technical industries and which has delivered DAM solutions to hundreds of UK organisations in the last decade.

"By pooling our skills and professional expertise Metasys Technologies and Digital-Photo have created, with TDAL, a unique one-stop shop for selecting, developing and implementing DAM solutions within a cost effective timeframe", said TDAL managing director, Alastair McDavid.

"This effectively solves the problem of digital management in the 21st Century".

TDAL will be targeting mainly large and medium sized organisations that appreciate the major cost savings and brand consistency an effective DAM system delivers and have had, until now, to rely on inexperienced dealers for software, installation, training and support services.

"Times have changed", said TDAL Chairman Graham Roberts.

"Clients now want the flexibility to choose what type of DAM system they adopt, on what operating system it runs and whether they prefer it to be implemented in-house or externally hosted and they want a DAM expert"

TDAL will first provide each client with the technical detail and market intelligence needed to make an informed choice regarding digital asset management before working with that client to establish and develop the most effective solution possible.
