The new, interactive digital children's book, BRAVE ROONEY, is now on iTunes, both for the iPad and iPhone. The story is set in a town called "MajesticVille," where all the inhabitants are superheroes with their superhuman children attending the local elementary school, Captain Majestic Memorial School. This Fall, a typical nine-year old boy, Rooney, moves to the house that's exactly on the border between "MajesticVille" and the adjacent (non-superhero) town, "NormalVille." By default, it's determined Rooney will be the first non-superhero to attend Captain Majestic Memorial School. Although slight in build, Rooney's strong in character and ends up showing his superhero classmates what it takes to be really brave.

The title is written by Gerry Renert, a multi EMMY-Nominated TV Creator/Writer and winner of awards from: iParenting Media, Parent's Choice, and Humanitas. Mr. Renert's first picture book, NATHAN SAVES SUMMER received a "Mom's Choice Gold Award." BRAVE ROONEY'S illustrator, Barry Gott is also a multi award-winner and a recipient of an iParenting Media Award and a Junior Library Guild Selection

BRAVE ROONEY has over fifty digital interactive features, providing a range of ways to involve the reader. Developed by Miami-based Bacciz LLC, BRAVE ROONEY is the latest in a line of mobile apps intended to maximize the ever-developing tools for digital interactivity. The publisher has had its books recognized as Apple "Staff Favorites", "Top 50 Paid iPad Apps" and "Top 10 Education Apps." According to Bacciz President, Alan Bigio. "One of the challenges in creating digital books is to make sure the animations, physics and other features don't overshadow the story but enhance it. I was immediately attracted to BRAVE ROONEY because the story is so simple, identifiable and fun. The theme provides a great way to build children's self esteem while helping them with the ever-present challenge of 'fitting in.' Plus, having characters with superhuman skills allowed for lots of animation and movement to enhance the reading experience."

BRAVE ROONEY is targeted at children, ages four to eight, and is $2.99 on iTunes.
