'Dinner Date', Staying Connected With Loved Ones Through COVID 19
COPLEY, Ohio, April 16, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Greenfield Estates Alzheimer’s Special Care Center has taken Skype visits with loved ones to the next level. With visitor restrictions due to COVID 19, many family members are missing their daily dinner visits. Greenfield Estates staff put together a special virtual “Dinner Date” using Skype. Dinner was delivered to the home of Kevin Schroeder, husband of Katie Schroeder. An iPad was then set in place so Katie and Kevin could enjoy their meal looking face to face at each other as if they were at dinner together. Skype has allowed our families to stay connected and continue to create memories and Meaningful Moments®.
What sets Greenfield Estates apart from other assisted living communities is its Meaningful Moments®. This program, designed for those living with memory loss, is unique to JEA Senior Living and is built on learning all about the residents in order to create a homelike environment in which they feel comfortable while being cared for.
The compassionate staff takes the time to discover each resident's interests, desires, and life story to develop a personalized care plan designed to ensure they continue to live a life of purpose and joy.
This holistic approach to care includes developing partnerships with family members and other healthcare providers to ensure their physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are met. They create an environment that residents and family members alike are happy to call home.
Greenfield Estates is a community devoted to helping those living with memory loss. If a loved one is living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, the dedicated focus on this population can help residents continue living their lives of meaning and purpose.
Greenfield Estates is located in Fairlawn a suburb of Akron, Ohio, a city that blends small-town charm with a vibrant business community and just minutes away from all the excitement of big city life.
