DirectRooms.com can reveal that leading video makers from all over Europe will be heading to Amsterdam to present their work as part of a special festival taking place in the Dutch capital.
Online, September 15, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Stranger Festival 2010, is an opportunity for young film makers to learn new skills by attending a series of workshops dedicated to better video production. The festival will run for four days from 13th to 16th October in Amsterdam and budding artists aged 15 to 25 are invited to come along and share their experiences.
The festival is part of an initiative by the European Cultural Foundation to encourage creativity by inviting young people to make their own videos on any topic that inspires them. Subject matter is completely open to give young videographers the chance to express opinions and be given a voice on the key issues in their lives.
The event will showcase the best work from the Netherlands and all over Europe, along with screenings of the videos and a chance for people to talk about how their film was made.
Attendees to the festival staying in a hotel Amsterdam will be heading to Westergasfabriek, a culture park on the outskirts of the city of Amsterdam. Visitors can take part in the workshops to learn how to improve their video making skills through topics covering the use of better camera angles and how to create high quality images.
Artists looking to take part can upload videos to the festival's website and there is a competition for entrants with the best videos given the opportunity to be televised on channels across Europe.
