DirectRooms.com reveals that Munich is set to hold another of its legendary beer festivals this May which will also combine some of the biggest fairground rides in Europe.
Online, April 19, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Spring Festival at the Theresienwiese, or Fruhlingsfest Theresienwiese as it's known by the locals, is a festival featuring the best German beer and where visitors can discover the finest local brews in the city. The event consists of two large beer tents that will be fully stocked with copious amounts of kegs by the major breweries in Munich.
Visitors can sample a wide selection of ales and lager while all the time being entertained by the series of bands that will take to the stage to play live. For people that like more of an adrenaline rush the festival also comes complete with dizzying fairground rides and claims of being home to a go-kart track that is the largest mobile circuit in Europe. Another European record claim is the mobile slide also said to be the longest in the continent.
Bargain hunters can visit the flea market to see a range of goods and souvenirs and huge firework displays will be held during the middle of the festival and for the final show piece. People booked into cheap Munich Airport hotels can see the full programme of activities when it runs between 29th April and 15th May 2011.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "The Theresienwiese will be filled with people attending the festival and this will affect hotels. To avoid disappointment visitors should confirm hotel rooms prior to arriving in the city."
