Online, January 13, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Formula Drift UAE Invitational Competition will see a total of eight drivers taking part in the event including Tanner Foust who has twice won the Formula Drift Championships. He'll be competing against 2009's Formula Drift winner Chris Forsberg and last year's rookie of the year Fredric Aasbo. Drifting fans can also look forward to seeing the skills of world class drivers including Darren McNamara, Daijiro Yoshihara and Ryan Tuerck.

Formula Drift is the world's foremost series for drifting and drivers score points on style and technique rather than who completes the course in the fastest possible time. Motorsport fans travelling from hotels in Abu Dhabi will be heading to the Yas Marina Circuit on 25th February 2011 to see the drivers expertly negotiating the famous track.

Yas Marina is the world's newest and most advanced race track and is home to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in the UAE. With state of the art facilities the circuit is sure to provide an exciting day of competition for spectators.
