DirectRooms.com - Halal Food at Hilal Town Fair, Phuket in July 2010
Throughout the month of July there is to be a Halal Food fair held in Hilal Town on the island of Phuket.
Online, June 6, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The event is being held to demonstrate to the many visitors which come to the island that their needs can be catered for, as well as strengthening relationships between the Muslim and Buddhist communities.
The fair will feature not just the food that is on offer to tourists, but also aims to strengthen awareness of the Thalang district of the island. There will be presentations of art and culture, shows and demonstrations which promote the traditions of the Muslim religion as well as demonstrations of different recipes and food types.
The event has been organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and there are expected to be a large number of participants, with local businesses and performers taking part. The event is also expected to attract large numbers of visitors, both locals and tourists.
The event at Hilal Town can be easily reached by use of public transport, as there are regular bus services and taxis available for those who prefer them. There are several hotels in the area and those staying close by can easily find their way around the area on foot.
Lek Boonlert, Head of Marketing at DirectRooms, says "The increasing popularity of Phuket as a holiday destination means that hotels fill up quickly on the island. The easiest way to secure accommodation is to reserve rooms in advance." Finding a Phuket hotel is relatively easy if you are planning in advance.
