DirectRooms.com - World jazz artists perform in Berlin from 3 to 7 November 2010

Jazz fans will be heading to Berlin to hear live performances from a wide variety of international musicians as part of one of the city's most established jazz festivals, DirectRooms.com reveals.

Artists and bands will be taking to the stage over five days from 3rd to 7th November 2010 to perform in the 46th edition of JazzFest Berlin. The event will feature top acts from around the world including Kadri Gopalnath from India on the saxophone accompanied by Rudresh Mahanthappa from America.

The festival will have a focus on jazz from Europe with several leading acts including the homegrown artists Emil Mangelsdorff, Joachim Kuhn and Pablo held on the piano.

The Jazz Institute Berlin will be playing an extra special extended concert and the innovative Zeitkratzer have been commissioned to play a unique performance that will be aired on the radio.

Other European acts include Austrian Jazz Bigband Graz, Denis Colin and Celine Bonacina on the clarinet and saxophone respectively from France, as well as the French national jazz orchestra who will be playing tributes to Billie Holiday.

People staying in Berlin hotels can go to see the performances at any of the five venues for the festival. These include the main concerts at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, the A-Trane and Quasimodo clubs, Georg-Neumann-Saal of the Berlin Jazz Institute and the Berlin Savoy Hotel.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "This is a must see event for jazz enthusiasts with a great line up of artists. Tickets for the shows will quickly be selling out as will accommodation nearest the venues so people should make an early reservation to get a room."
