Online, October 25, 2012 (Newswire.com) - GoodHomes magazine, A Worldwide Media Publication (WWM) launches its first public art initiative with 'GoodHomes for Art'. The weeklong celebration beginning 29th October will see a spectrum of talks, shows, workshops, exhibitions create the buzz for art across Mumbai. Celebrated artists Brinda Miller, Jaideep Mehrotra, Arzan Khambatta and innovative young galleries like Dolna amongst others have lent their support to spread the awareness of art.
"We are overwhelmed with the response and support of the art fraternity and are confident to see it grow into a mega movement in the years to come. We want to draw performer and public closer together than in the past and celebrate informality where audience and artist enjoy a freer and therefore more democratic environment". Said Ronitaa Italia- Dhanu, Editor GoodHomes.
"The initiative signals a much more sweeping idea about the experience of art and is a much needed yeoman service for art, artists and audiences. Our vision is in complete alignment. We are excited and honoured to be a part of it." Expressed Mithu Basu, Founder, Dolna.
The event will see two offerings conceptualised and conducted by Dolna; Conversations about art over some Sangria and Dancescapes- the rhythm of dance captured live on canvas. For art and Sangria, Mithu invites US-based artist, Sukriti Grover for a discussion on all things art at Vinoteca by SULA. With Dancescapes she's pushing the boundaries. It's an organic concept, wherein artist Vishal Wadaye, captures the graceful dance movements of students from the Nritya Sharada Bharatnatya Kala Mandir, Nashik.
