Dominating Page #1 Google Rankings: IQS Increases Page Ranks

There are many details that go into effective on and off page optimization for your website, but in my experience, getting backlinks will help your page ranking more than anything else.

When it comes to search engine optimization (SEO), there are on and off page factors that determine your page ranking in Google. A company's page ranking will determine how much traffic it is getting to their website, which in turn determines how many leads and sales it gets.

A primary project of mine when I worked for Industrial Quick Search (IQS), an online industrial manufacturer's directory, was finding ways to increase the company's page rankings on Google. Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page, or in other words, when another website has a clickable link to your website. Search engines often use the number of backlinks that a website has as one of the most important factors for determining that website's search engine ranking. The more links you have from websites, the more value and authority Google will give your site and the higher it will rank in search engine results (organic searches). There are several factors that determine the value of a backlink. The more relevant (both sites have content geared toward a keyword topic), the stronger influence the backlink will have on the search engine rankings; The anchor text (the descriptive labeling of the hyperlink as it appears on a webpage) of the backlink, which is examined to evaluate how relevant it is to the content on a webpage; And the PageRank of the backlink website.

Although the overall concept of getting backlinks may be easy to understand, it does involve quite a bit of effort and patience - my experience is that it takes a few weeks to see higher Google rankings - especially in competitive niches, where it is important to have hundreds of backlinks to your site for the keyword you are targeting.

For instance, as a online directory for manufacturing needs, the IQS website has categories such as "process equipment" and under each category are subcategories like cooling towers and heat exchangers. There are more search results and companies that use the keywords heat exchangers than cooling towers. Thus, I need more backlinks to heat exchangers because the competition is higher.

So, how do you create hundreds of back links?

These were the top ways I was able to increase Google rankings.

1.Write a blog post

2.Submit your blog post to hundreds of article directories. Use Automatic Article Submitter http://www.automaticarticlesubmitter.com/ to create 200-300 backlinks for each article and spin each article to create multiple variations. Google sees it all as different content, allowing you to dominate the first page of Google for multiple of the top 10 searches with your articles and blog posts.

3.Create a video about your blog post and submit it to multiple directories. By making one video and sending it through Traffic Geyser http://www.trafficgeyser.com/, you can get about 70 back links.

4.Get more backlinks through social bookmarking sites, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

5.Build Squidoo lenses and Hub Pages. Squidoo is one of the most important places that you can post your content because Google perceives Squidoo as an authority site (they are very strict on spamming), meaning that Google will often give high rankings to Squidoo lenses. 6.Research & Ask. One good way to get backlinks to relevant, reputable websites is simply searching for websites that are relevant to your keywords. For example, university libraries or (in the case for IQS) engineering websites both usually include links for further information, etc. Email or call the webmaster and suggest your link. Let them know why your website would be a good resource.

7.Look at backlinks of competitors. In the advanced search tab on Google's website, you can enter a site and find all websites linking to it. It is a good resource for finding new links.
