Domino's Slices Seconds Off Their Online Ordering Process!
Online, July 8, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The leaders in the Australian pizza category, Domino's Pizza Enterprises ("Domino's") have transformed their online ordering website to make further improvements for customers, slicing seconds off the ordering process!
Domino's CEO and Managing Director Don Meij said the launch of the new site was an essential step forward for the brand's presence on the digital platform and the biggest change to online ordering since it was launched in 2006.
"We need to ensure we're always taking on customer's feedback and searching for ways we can make our online ordering site more intuitive and user friendly," Mr Meij said.
The transformation includes a complete technology change allowing a comprehensive ordering experience that is better than the previous version while removing the need for customers to have flash installed.
Other features on the new Domino's website include; changes to the address entry functions, more ways to get offers, menu layout, half n half pizza design, apply voucher layout, swap buttons, basket layout, a redesigned Live Pizza Tracker page and the conversion to an Entice look and feel.
Mr Meij said these changes will help drive the Domino's digital growth over the coming year.
"Our determination to be the market leader for digital innovation has already seen us achieve over 50% of sales online and, over the next three years, we want to grow this to 80%.
Mr Meij said they want customers to be able to order from anywhere at any time and these improvements help customers do this comfortably and confidently.
"Customers are now accessing Domino's faster, easier and with more control than ever before.
"We now offer custom-built order applications across multiple ordering platforms, giving control to our customers no matter where they are or what they are doing.
"We provide customers with a common ordering experience across desktop and mobile - through device detection, customers will automatically be taken to the optimised mobile site if accessing online ordering via a mobile device.
"The new site is now device agnostic, so the ordering experience will be tailored to each customers' online device," he said.
The new online ordering system follows the launch of the Real Time Feedback App launched by Domino's earlier this year which has already helped to significantly improve product quality and service times.
Domino's worked with Thoughtworks over a six month period to complete the project.
