Dr. Diane Chen Appointed to Enterprising Women Advisory Board
Founder and CEO of Raleigh-based nonprofit, CESI Debt Solutions, partners with national magazine for business women
Online, February 16, 2011 (Newswire.com) - CESI Debt Solutions, a national nonprofit credit counseling agency, is proud to announce that its founder and president, Dr. Diane Chen, has been appointed to the Advisory Board for Enterprising Women magazine.
Dr. Chen will be one of several Advisory Board members to participate in a panel discussion called "Building Financial Literacy and Raising Capital" at the Enterprising Women of the Year event March 10-11, 2011 in Boca Raton, Florida.
Dr. Chen, a native of China, is also facilitating with Enterprising Women's partnership with the China Business Women's Alliance.
Before starting CESI Debt Solutions, Dr. Chen played a significant role in establishing the sister-state relationship between North Carolina and the Lianoning Province, China. In 1998 she was the interpreter and liaison for Governor James Hunt's trade delegation in China. She has also helped many North Carolina businesses, government agencies and educational institutions establish international relations with China as the president of New China Development Corporation.
Having earned her Master and Doctoral Degrees from North Carolina State University, Dr. Chen is very active in the Triangle community. She currently serves on the First Citizen Bank advisory board and is an International Student Mentor through NC State's Breaking Bread program. She is also an overseas member of the Council of People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Lianoning Province, China.
Dr. Chen founded CESI Debt Solutions and has grown the companies from two employees in 1999 to 125 employees today. The organization has helped more than 25,000 Americans become debt free and helped another 50,000 through personal financial tools and educational programs.
