Dr. Williams has worked in many capacities throughout his career, which has provided him with a bounty of experience working at various levels in education. Dr. Williams began his career as a classroom teacher in science and reading. He went on to work as a principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels and also has experience as a central office administrator. Eventually, he worked as a superintendent, gaining experience at all levels of education.

Throughout his tenure as an educator, Dr. Floyd Williams has drastically improved many of the schools he worked at. He’s been able to consistently increase student achievement across the board. This focus on increasing academic success has been carried over to financial success for schools as well. Within a year of working as an elementary school principal for Milwaukee Public Schools, Floyd Williams was able to implement a financial plan that eliminated a deficit of nearly $90,000 in the school’s budget. During his time as an educator, Dr. Williams has worked as a mentor to various other educators.
