Jaipuria Institute Of Management, renowned for its PGDM courses, strives to offer students a transformational experience through its campuses in Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore and Noida.
Online, June 19, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Jaipuria Institute Of Management, renowned for its PGDM courses, strives to offer students a transformational experience through its campuses in Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore and Noida. This philosophy is followed by Associate Dean and Professor Kavita Pathak, who has worked with Jaipuria Lucknow, since its inception in 1995. She believes in encouraging classroom participation from students by, "Engaging with them and making them curious to learn more."
"An enabler for student learning," as she likes to see herself, Dr Pathak believes in "providing cues and teasing young minds with stimulating questions," to kindle the desire for knowledge among students. Dr Pathak is an MBA and PhD, with over 20 years of experience, which includes her four-year teaching and research stint at UQ Business School, University of Queensland, Australia. According to her, it was here that she was "exposed to gold standards in academic practises." And the courses on research process and qualitative methods she undertook at UQ helped change her perspective as a researcher and an academic author. Having published a few papers already, Dr Pathak intends to complete two papers on Higher Education and Hi-Tech Marketing this year.
Student evaluations won Dr Pathak recognition as one of the best teachers at UQ Business School. She attributes it to her years of experience at Jaipuria Lucknow. Having taught International Marketing, Services Marketing, Business Research Methods, Fundamental of Marketing and Consumer Behaviour at Jaipuria Lucknow, an Associate Dean today, Dr Pathak handles different aspects of student engagement besides academics.
Dr Pathak proudly talks of SIP (Summer Internship Programme) workshop held by Jaipuria Lucknow recently because it helped students sail through their SIP projects. For the committed educationist who believes, "students can be who they think they want to be", the journey continues.
