Online, May 24, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Spring has brought a busy media season for Dr. Leah Hollis, president of Patricia Berkly LLC. With more people paying attention to the ills of workplace bullying, her book, BULLY IN THE IVORY TOWER has been received well.
The season started with a review in University Business and the Chronicle of Higher Education. Dr. Hollis also spoke on several radio shows such as Mary Jones Talk Time in Connecticut, SIFI/ Blogtalk Radio, America Tonight with Kate Delaney, WV Metro News, The Richard Kaffenberger Show, The Jim Blassingame Show, Blue Funk Radio, JENNINGS WIRE PODCAST and Fox News Television.
The hectic season also included a webinar series serving colleges and universities from California, South Dakota, New York and Virginia. The national audience will then hopefully take the critical message on how to stem workplace bullying back to their organizations.
Throughout the 2013 year thus far, Dr. Hollis has offered keynote speeches and workshops for staff and faculty learning the elements of workplace bullying.
"With 62% of the higher education workplace facing workplace bullying, I hope my work makes a difference for leadership striving to create a healthy workplace..." Hollis says.
Hollis, a regular blogger on JENNINGS WIRE, is considering future projects such as an anthology and companion workbook for Bully in the Ivory Tower. While costs being a challenge for colleges and universities, we can ill afford the cost of employee disengagement. The book not only chronicles the problem, but offers solutions for organizations and individuals on how to heal an organization and stop bullying in higher education.
