Dr. Lernik Mesropian, O.D. Achieves Fellowship

Pasadena Optometrist Inducted into the American Academy of Optometry (AAO).

Linden Optometry, PC is proud to announce that Dr. Lernik Mesropian, O.D. is now a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry!

Through hard work during her residency in Orange County, followed by approval of her poster presentations and case reports, and finally with a highly successful oral examination, she was inducted into the Academy as a new Fellow at the 2012 Fellowship Ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona.

Fellows of the American Academy of Optometry are entitled to use the designation "FAAO". The designation-FAAO-means they are recognized by their colleagues as knowledgeable and experienced professionals who have met the high standards of professional competence in a broad range of issues related to eye care. Each candidate for Fellowship must continue to maintain the highest of professional standards, and we have no doubt that Dr. Mesropian will continue to do so for many years to come!

We are exceptionally proud of Dr. Mesropian's achievements, because her commitment to such a high accomplishment has come rather early in her career as a Doctor of Optometry. This is a great testament to her commitment to patient care, and education! Dr. Mesropian joined Linden Optometry in June of 2012, and her knowledge and passion in working with our pediatric population has made her a great addition to our clinic. Our patients and staff continue to gain from her expertise and her willingness to share her knowledge with us.

Dr. Mesropian holds a B.S. Degree from U.C. San Diego and a Doctor of Optometry Degree from U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry, where she graduated with Honors in Research. After the completion of her doctorate degree in the Bay Area, Dr. Mesropian moved to Orange County and successfully completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy at the Southern California College of Optometry.

Aside from her most recent accomplishment of becoming a Fellow, she has thus far also earned several other awards including the Pediatric Optometry Residency Award (American Optometric Foundation), Leadership Award (California Optometric Association), Optometry Service Award (U.C. Berkeley), Clinical Honors (University Eye Center), and Advocacy Leadership Award (American Optometric Association). Dr. Mesropian speaks English, Armenian, and Farsi. Her hobbies include painting, photography, and traveling! And most importantly, she is extremely happy to be back in Southern California for the past year, where she can spend time with her family and friends on a daily basis!

Congratulations Dr. Mesropian! We are very proud to have you serving our patients and community!
