With 23 years dedicated to medicine, Winchester brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular, to his area of expertise, perinatal and neonatal medicine. When asked what provides meaning to his work, Winchester​ said:

As a thought-leader in his industry, Winchester is heavily involved with research and has always worked at the cutting edge of medical trends. His research has actively contributed to his field in his almost forty years as a top industry professional. He focuses on identifying risk factors that impact fetal development. His research has been presented at the Pediatric Academic Societies Meetings and has included benefits of prenatal steroids in less than twenty-eight week gestation mothers, phenol based disinfectants associated with neonatal jaundice, increased risks of NEC related to cryptosporidium, blood transfusions, and adverse effects of prenatal exposure to pesticides.

Currently, Dr. Winchester is the Medical Director of the NICU at St. Francis Hospital and a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. His board certifications are in Perinatal and Neonatal Medicine and Pediatrics. Over the course of his career, Winchester’s passion and expertise have been recognized in the form of multiple awards, including the Riley Hospital “Red Shoes” Award for outstanding accomplishments in pediatric and family care at the IU Riley Hospital.
