Dr. Robert N. Young's New Surgery Center Receives AAAASF Accreditation

SHAVANO PARK, Texas, July 27, 2020 (Newswire.com) - ​​​​The Texas-based "DrYoungForever" plastic surgery center at YoungForever MedSpa, LLC emphasizes its dedication to safety and quality with the receipt of accreditation from the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). DrYoungForever has earned this industry gold standard after a thorough on-site evaluation of their brand new facility in Shavano Park, an enclave of North Central San Antonio.

AAAASF assesses a Surgery Center’s commitment to patient safety and quality of care by performing a regimented and lengthy inspection which was passed with flying colors. DrYoungForever is proud to be listed among the roughly 2,500 AAAASF-accredited institutions worldwide. With over 9,000 ambulatory surgery centers in the USA alone, it demonstrates that obtaining AAAASF accreditation is quite a prestigious accomplishment.

AAAASF requires 100 percent compliance with their accreditation standards. Facilities must comply with the most stringent set of standards in the nation​ in order to gain certification. AAAASF's Board Certified medical specialist inspected the new facility, completing a 130-page checklist. DrYoungForever was approved in committee and passed with no deficiencies. Facility surveyors analyze the entire physical environment including OR and recovery rooms, sterilization, medications, logs, policies and procedures, safety, medical records, quality assessment, personnel, anesthesia, medical waste and emergency preparedness among other criteria. After the initial accreditation inspection, each accredited facility is re-evaluated through self-survey annually and AAAASF on-site survey every three years.

Dr. Young's surgery center has been accredited as a Class C Ambulatory Surgical Center, which can provide general anesthesia and perform outpatient Plastic Surgery. Dr. Young performs a variety of plastic surgery procedures such as breast augmentation, lift and reductions, liposuction, Brazilian Butt Lift, tummy tuck, and facial surgeries such as face, neck and eyelid lifts and others. His new custom-built facility off Loop 1604 in Shavano Park is the second AAAASF certified facility he has designed and operated, and replaces his former surgery center he built two decades ago in Stone Oak.
