DreamSharee Edu-tainment Promotes Green Awareness Through Music
Online, February 25, 2010 (Newswire.com) - As greening the ecosystem and promoting sustainability remain a global issue for all humanity, DreamSharee Edu-tainment takes a call to action by presenting the Be Seen Being Green College Music Tour. The Be Seen Being Green (BSBG) College Music Tour will kick off in Miami, FL on April 15th and April 16th of 2010. This two-day event will be comprised of two key components, education and entertainment, that will carry the message of green awareness and social responsibility. On April 15, 2010 the BSBG College Music Tour will begin with an informative and educational seminar at the University of Miami. Award-winning Author and Filmmaker, Dale Bell, is one of the featured speakers included in the 3-hour seminar program. "We partnered with the University of Miami to hold our seminar because they currently have a sustainability program in place. It was important for us to be in the right environment to discuss the state of our environment," says TSharee Butler, President and Founder of DreamSharee Edu-tainment. On April 16, 2010 Hip Hop superstar, Fabolous, along with another major mainstream music celebrity, will be featured in concert at the James L. Knight Center (400 SE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33131) to promote this global cause. "As an edutainment company, it was important for us to merge our educational message of being green and spread awareness through entertainment. Hip Hop and music are very powerful vehicles, especially for our youth," says Marcus King, VP and DreamSharee Edu-tainment Co-Founder. Concert tickets are currently on sale through James L. Knight Center (www(dot)jlkc(dot)com) and Ticketmaster. Immediately following the BSBG concert, DreamSharee Edu-tainment will roll out the green carpet for a star studded, green themed after party at Miami South Beach hot spot, Mansion nightclub. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to the Media & Policy Center Foundation. This Miami kick-off event marks the beginning of the Be Seen Being Green edutainment movement. After this initial event, DreamSharee Edu-tainment will hold several BSBG events in select cities leading up to a full-blown college tour on the East and West coasts in the fall of 2010 and the winter of 2011.
Both the seminar and concert programs will be highly informative and engaging. The Be Seen Being Green seminar is a free event with an interactive program that includes - a panel of green experts, a Question & Answer session, an opportunity for attendees to meet & greet the panelists, contests and raffles, and a book signing by Dale Bell for the book Going To Green (written by Dale Bell and Harry Wiland). Apple Levy, Founder of The Green Girls (www.thegreengirls.com), will discuss fun and effective on how to implement green living into your daily life. Seminar attendees will also get an exclusive opportunity to preview a special documentary entitled Growing Greener Schools featuring Ed Begley, Jr and produced by the Media & Policy Center Foundation, which will be later distributed to PBS stations nationwide for broadcast during Earth Day week, 2010. Growing Greener Schools is also produced and directed by Dale Bell and Harry Wiland.
Be Seen Being Green concertgoers will not only enjoy a superb performance by Hip Hop superstar Fabolous but also have a chance to win grand prizes through concert contests and raffles - including major electronics, other giveaways, and a VIP ticket to attend the BSBG star studded after party. On March 1, 2010 DreamSharee Edu-tainment will launch a national contest in search of an opening act for Fabolous and another major music celebrity, who will be confirmed shortly. Homeboy Sandman is the official concert host and is gaining notoriety in Hip Hop for his lyricism and being an Ivy League graduate.
