Dror Bin Takes Helm as President and CEO at RAD Data Communications

Telecom industry veteran Dror Bin is the new president and CEO at RAD Data Communications. His career has included roles as venture capital partner at Carmel Ventures as well as head of sales, group president, and marketing positions at Comverse.

RAD Data Communications has announced that Dror Bin has assumed his responsibilities as the company's President and CEO. He succeeds Efraim (Effi) Wachtel, who has retired after 15 years in that position.

"Dror has a broad understanding of what drives success in the global telecoms market, based on his many years of experience as a senior executive in the industry," says Yehuda Zisapel, RAD Chairman and President of The RAD Group.

Mr. Bin, 45, was most recently a venture partner at Carmel Ventures. Prior to that he had served for over nine years at Comverse Technology in a series of positions, including President of Global Sales, President of the Products Group, and other key roles such as Vice President and General Manager of the company's Messaging line, General Manager of the SMS division, and Vice President of Marketing for Comverse Voicemail and Call Completion.

Prior to Comverse, Mr. Bin was a partner at Shaldor, a top management consulting firm, working with carriers and telecom equipment vendors, among others.

He holds two bachelor's degrees cum laude from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, one in systems information engineering and the other in industrial engineering, as well as an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
