Drug Rehab Center to Publish Magazine Articles

Recovery First's Florida drug rehab center plans to publish a series of articles in magazines and journals throughout the US. The articles will be self-help and inspirational for people struggling with any aspect of addiction or alcoholism.

Leading drug rehab center Recovery First announced plans early this week to publish a series of articles in magazines and other periodicals nationwide. Widely considered one of the most successful inpatient drug treatment centers in the US, officials with the company stated the articles would be both self-help style and inspirational.

Jim Davis, CAS, CEO and founder of Recovery First, writes prolifically for the treatment center.

"We've published more than 500 articles on the web, offering information and help to anyone who needs it. However, it's a little harder today to reach people struggling with addiction who aren't regular internet users. We want to be able to reach these people with our message as well, because we believe that our passion and dedication here can save lives."

Indeed, a quick search of the web returns countless results of articles the drug rehab center has published on topics ranging from Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome to how addiction affects sex. Most of the articles are published on self-help, inspirational, health and fitness related websites and are available for public use at no charge.

However, some people in the industry question how effective an offline effort could be, citing the idea that most drug addicts aren't likely to be reading magazines in their free time.

But Jim Davis isn't concerned about this at all. And he would know - as a recovering addict clean for over 3 decades, Davis has an intense personal and professional understanding of addiction and alcoholism.

"It doesn't matter whether the addict ever reads the article. It could be their parent, spouse, sibling, friend or associate who reads it and feels compelled to take the next step. At the end of the day, if all of our work online and offline only helps one person, then we've done our job."
