DVDFab 8.1.8.6 Qt Beta released on May 30
Fengtao Software, on May 30, released this minor updated version of all-in-one software package for multimedia solutions, for Windows operating system. In this 8.1.8.6 Beta, developers mainly fixed a few small issues to make the software much friendlier on copying Blu-ray 3D movies.

The three fixed issues were associated with its Blu-ray Copy software. The first one was a 102 error occurred at the early reading stage while coping some special Blu-ray discs; the second problem was an output size problem when copying Blu-ray 3D disc; the last one, a jitter problem when playing the backup Blu-ray 3D discs on standalone 3D players. Apart from these fixed items, developers also stated that some minor problems with PS3 were detected when playing copied Blu-ray 3D discs, and efforts on a solution was coming soon. Users were advised to use software player or others standalone Blu-ray 3D players for the time being. To download and test this newer beta build, you can visit http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm

Developers' advices on troubleshooting Task 1, Error=102
Technically, Task 1, Error=102 means that a reading problem is found at the early reading stage during the copying process. This error could happen to both DVD and Blu-ray discs. Here are suggestions from DVDFab Service Team on how to do when encountering such situations.

Troubleshooting: The original disc being copied is bad, in most cases, dirty or scratched.

Possible Solution 1: Go to clean the trouble making DVD/Blu-ray disc firstly before copying. This will eliminate 90 % of such problems, but if it doesn't help, returning the problematic DVD or Blu-ray disc for exchange is a better consideration. Meanwhile, a general cleaning of the optical drive is necessary as well - it needs to be cleaned once in a while, time spent on basic maintenance will bring more satisfaction with the next process.

Possible Solution 2: Click the tick green icon button at the top right corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "Read", select "ignore all the reading errors automatically", or click on "Pathplayer", disable it, then copy the disc again to check if the same thing happens again. Note that the pathplayer setting applies to DVD discs only when copying DVDs with DVD Copy, not Blu-ray discs.
