E BUNNY Brings Joy To Thousands of Homeless & Underprivileged Children

Beyond the neon glitz of the Vegas Strip, thousands of children live impoverished... many homeless, in temporary housing and shelters. E BUNNY brings joy... and hope... to kids, at a time that's so meaningful to so many!

E BUNNY, a grass-roots community outreach program is looking for individuals, groups & businesses, who would like to make 2011 the best Easter ever for thousands of children in need. For 21 years, E BUNNY has reached out to homeless and underprivileged children, providing Easter baskets as a token of Love, Joy and Hope. Without community support, this effort could not continue each year.

Thanks to the generosity and spirit of hundreds of individuals and dozens of businesses, E BUNNY 2010 delivered nearly 2000 Easter Baskets to kids in need across the Las Vegas Valley in 2010. Statistics show there are more than five thousand children & teens homeless at any given time in Vegas; the goal is to reach as many kids as possible this year.

Recipients for 2010 included:
> Las Vegas City Mission
> Las Vegas Rescue Mission
> Straight from the Streets
> Clark County Social Services
> Las Vegas Housing Authority
> Las Vegas Social Services
> Lutheran Social Services
> Nevada Social Services
> Heads Up
> Family Promise
> Safe House

In addition to the organizations and agencies listed here, volunteers from E BUNNY and Straight From The Streets distributed baskets to children living in temporary housing & shelters in the poorest areas of Las Vegas & Henderson.

This year, E BUNNY is looking for donations of pre-packaged Easter Baskets that can be purchased at any grocery, drugstore, or general department store. The community group does not accept monetary contributions... ONLY Easter baskets to pass directly to the children. Baskets will be on the shelves of retail stores by mid-February.

You can help by joining the "One Special Basket... for One Special Child" program, and donating a basket by APRIL 15, 2011. All you have to do is pick a basket you think a child would love, then, inspire your friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers to donate a basket too!

OTHER WAYS TO HELP:

* Organize a basket drive at your church, school or office:
- Businesses are encouraged to hold employee/team member basket drives
- Children are encouraged to hold basket drives too! (It's a wonderful way to teach the spirit of giving)

* Forward this message to your friends & co-workers. We can all help by
getting the word out.

E BUNNY works with wonderful community organizations including Opportunity Village - Project Enable, Faith Community Lutheran Church , NITCO, Nevada State College School of Nursing & Planet Nissan to help collect and deliver baskets to the children. Look for convenient drop off locations on the E BUNNY web page by Feb 15, 2011.
