Online, September 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - In CIS the e-learning market is developing twice faster then the worldwide market for e-learning, claims Sam. S. Adkins, CRO of Ambient Insight.
The results of Ambient Insight investigation show that annual tempos of growth of Eastern Europe's market (countries of CIS in particular) make up 23%, which is higher then in Northern America with 7%, Latin America with 19.8%, and Western Europe with 12%. Average worldwide growth makes up 12%.
Smart education project, being impressed by these results, has investigated the market of e- learning in CIS. We found out that Russia is CIS's leader in designing solutions for e-learning management and in implementing e-learning solutions. The total amount of CIS's companies in the area of e-learning technologies is 59. 27 of them are vendors of software, 3 companies import software, 35 are integrators and distributors, and 4 are service companies.
They are territorially divided in this way: 31 companies in Russia, 13 companies in Ukraine, 5 international companies, 5 companies in Belarus and 2 of Kazakhstan.
74 commercial solutions for e-learning are offered in CIS's market for today. The conclusion can be made that e-learning market in CIS is mainly occupied by internal vendors, and tempos of growth in their number is constantly increasing.
By now there are 27 solutions for e-learning systems and LMS/LCMS from 25 vendors on the market; 10 of them can be offered as SaaS. The growth of SaaS sector is stable trend of last 2 years. Total assessment of vendors shows, that there are nearly 1200 organizations in CIS that use commercial software for distance learning management.
Tools for webinars are offered by 14 companies, which have already provided 18 solutions and services.
In the segment of courses and learning content design there are 15 companies, offering 19 solutions.
