The Earl application team has released the newest update to the iPhone and iPad app that has been developed to read newspapers and magazines by using voice commands and one gesture.

The latest update includes voice menu updates and access to more publications. These improvements to Earl have made the app more streamlined to use. The improvements will make Earl even more accessible to the sight-impaired and the sighted user.

Updated features are:

- Enhanced favorites functionality for selecting national and local newspapers, magazines, or other media content.
- Upgraded article parsing for an improved reading experience

These improvements, as well as some behind the scenes software changes improve the speed and functionality of Earl.

The Earl team continues to strive to make print media accessible to everyone with over 250 newspapers, magazines, and other media sources available.

Some of the newest media sources that Earl reads are The Atlantic magazine, Reuter's news, and Rolling Stone magazine. These can be found in the "National" menu.
