2011 begins on a high as CV-Library announces a record number of CV registrations for January.

The recruitment cliche 'new year, new job' resounds as jobseekers soar to the UK's leading independent job site, providing employers with an abundance of high quality applicants.

A staggering total of 181,158 CVs have been submitted in January alone; beating the old record by over 15,000 CVs. Their recent ABC Electronic (ABCe) audit confirms that CV-Library has the fastest growing database in the UK, which now holds over 3.2 million CVs.

Lee Biggins, Managing Director of CV-Library: "2011 is off to a promising start; the more jobseekers that register the more choice for our clients. These statistics imply that competition remains fierce, so we are helping all candidates by offering them more career advice and online support than ever before."

CV-Library has almost 49,000 live job postings, reflecting the surge of new agencies registering with them since Christmas. The total number of monthly job applications has also exceeded their old record, which hadn't been topped since July 2010.
